Alpaben Residence
Thoughtful detailing, functional design: a master bedroom window reimagined as part of the furniture, and a natural stone feature wall.

Thoughtful Detailing. Functional Design.
The Alpaben Residence explores how thoughtful interior detailing can transform functional requirements into seamless design elements.
A Window, Reimagined as Part of the Furniture
The master bedroom presented a specific design requirement: a window positioned along the rear wall needed to remain accessible while visually integrating with the furniture and overall interior composition.
Instead of treating the window as a separate architectural element, we designed the furniture and wall panelling around it. Using sliding hardware integrated within the furniture, the window can be opened whenever required and completely concealed when not in use.
When closed, the system becomes a natural continuation of the furniture and wall paneling, allowing the entire surface to read as one cohesive design element.
This approach allowed us to achieve both objectives — preserving the functionality of the window while maintaining a clean and uninterrupted interior aesthetic.
Master Bedroom 02 — Natural Texture as a Feature
The second master bedroom called for a stronger visual presence, with the clients wanting the background wall to become a prominent feature of the space.
We introduced natural stone veneer to create a textured feature wall that adds depth, character, and a sense of height to the room. The natural variation of the stone brings an organic quality to the otherwise refined interior.
The same design strategy was also used to address the window requirement. By integrating the window concealment into the feature wall treatment, we were able to maintain the desired visual continuity while ensuring the window remained functional when needed.
Design Approach
Functional requirements were not treated as limitations — they became opportunities for design.
Through integrated furniture detailing, concealed functionality, natural materials, and carefully considered proportions, the Alpaben Residence demonstrates how even a practical requirement can become an integral part of the interior's visual language.
